Collision Repair in Parma, OH

State Road has repaired Parma’s wrecked vehicles since 1949. A scraped bumper from a parking lot or a front end pushed back into the frame, the job is the same: repair your vehicle the way the manufacturer built it, and show you it was done.

What happens to your vehicle here

  1. Damage assessment appointment. A 30-minute look at your vehicle. We tell you what we see and what to expect with your insurance company.
  2. Teardown. We take the damaged area apart before finishing the estimate. Hidden damage behind bumpers and panels is the most common reason a first estimate comes in low.
  3. Pre-repair scan. We connect to your vehicle’s computers and record every fault the accident set off.
  4. A repair plan from the manufacturer’s procedures. We pull the published repair procedures for your exact vehicle and build the plan from them.
  5. Structural measuring and repair. If the frame or unibody moved, we measure it and bring it back to factory specifications.
  6. Parts, body, and paint. The right parts for your vehicle, installed and refinished to match.
  7. Post-repair scan and calibration. We confirm the faults are cleared and calibrate cameras and radar when the manufacturer requires it.
  8. Clean and inspect. Vacuumed, washed, and checked before we hand you the keys.

Why the first estimate often changes

Insurance estimates are usually written from photos or a quick walk-around. Once the bumper cover comes off, we often find broken brackets, crushed energy absorbers, bent reinforcements, or damaged sensors. When that happens we document it and send your insurer a supplement. A supplement is a normal part of collision repair, not a way to raise your bill, and you don’t have to negotiate it yourself.

Parts: what goes on your vehicle

Some insurance policies allow aftermarket, used, or reconditioned parts. Some fit and perform fine. Others don’t, especially structural and safety-related parts. We tell you what your estimate calls for, what your manufacturer recommends, and what your policy says before anything is ordered.

Every collision repair includes

  • Pre-repair and post-repair diagnostic scans
  • Photos of hidden damage found during teardown
  • The manufacturer repair procedures we followed
  • ADAS calibration when your vehicle needs it

Questions about collision repair

Can I drive my car after an accident?

If the lights, mirrors, and tires work, nothing is leaking, and no warning lights are on, it may be safe to drive to the shop. If airbags deployed, the car pulls hard to one side, or a wheel looks out of place, have it towed. When in doubt, call us at (440) 345-8844.

Will my car be the same after the repair?

It should be. That’s the point of following the manufacturer’s procedures and scanning before and after. We can show you what was measured, replaced, and calibrated.

Do you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We work with every insurance company, and we work for you.
