Payment at Time of Pick Up
All repairs must be paid in full at the time of vehicle pick up. No exceptions. Please plan accordingly and choose a payment method that best fits your needs. Due to the length of most collision repairs, we encourage all of our customers to plan ahead.

Credit Card Processing Fees
Important Notice: Due to the increased cost of credit card processing, depending on the type of credit card being processed, the issuing bank will charge your card a surcharge of up to 4%. This charge is assessed by the card processor and is not collected or retained by State Road Auto Body. We have opted out of absorbing these fees for the benefit of all customers so we can keep our repair rates as low as possible.
Insurance Claim Payments
Your vehicle will be available for pick up as soon as repairs are complete. The total repair cost must be paid in full before the vehicle is released. If your insurance company is handling payment, please be aware of the following:
- Delays are common. Insurance companies may take days to weeks to process and issue payment. We have no control over their timeline.
- Short-paying is common. Insurers sometimes pay less than the full repair cost. This is often a last-resort negotiation tactic — not a reflection of what the claim is worth. We document every repair operation thoroughly and work to minimize unnecessary costs so our invoices reflect only what was required to restore your vehicle.
- Your final invoice is your proof of loss. It establishes the actual financial loss incurred by you, the vehicle owner, under your policy or claim. Under Ohio Administrative Code §3901-1-54, once a proof of loss is submitted, the insurer must pay or provide a written explanation citing the specific policy provision for any amount withheld — within 21 days.
- Any balance after insurance payment is your responsibility. Storage charges may apply if the vehicle is not picked up in a timely manner.
- You have options. If your insurer underpays or unreasonably delays your claim, you have the right to seek legal counsel, file a complaint with the Ohio Department of Insurance, or invoke the appraisal clause that may be included in your policy.
